CRY2624M
ATEX- and IECEx-certified fixed acoustic imager

Acoustic camera for continuous monitoring of gas leaks and partial discharge in hazardous areas

Move from Periodic Inspection to Continuous Monitoring

The CRY2624M is an ATEX- and IECEx-certified fixed acoustic imager for continuous monitoring in hazardous industrial environments, with a detection range of 1.6–164 ft. The device detects and locates gas and vacuum leaks as well as partial discharge, combining a 128-channel MEMS microphone array with an 8 MP camera to show acoustic sources directly on the live image. It provides continuous monitoring of critical equipment, reducing reliance on periodic manual inspections.

CRY2624M Main Specifications

How CRY2624M Works

Using acoustic detection technology across a 2–48 kHz frequency range, the CRY2624M detects ultrasonic signals from gas and vacuum leaks with leakage rates as low as 0.06 CFH. It also detects ultrasonic acoustic emissions associated with partial discharge in high-voltage equipment and supports partial discharge type recognition. Configurable alarms notify users when abnormal acoustic activity is detected.
  • Step 1

    Acoustic Signal Acquisition

The 128-channel MEMS microphone array receives ultrasonic signals from gas and vacuum leaks and partial discharge.
  • Step 2

    Sound Source Localization

Beamforming algorithms process signals from the microphone array to determine the direction and location of the sound source.
  • Step 3

    Acoustic Imaging & Analysis

The localized acoustic source is overlaid on the live camera image for visual identification and analysis.

Why Choose CRY2624M

  • For continuous oversight of critical assets

Keep critical equipment under constant observation between scheduled inspections.
  • For moving from periodic checks to condition-based maintenance

Use continuous acoustic data to support maintenance decisions based on the actual condition of equipment.
  • For reducing routine inspection workload

Automate acoustic monitoring at fixed inspection points and reduce the need for repeated manual checks.
  • For safer maintenance planning

Locate potential problems remotely before sending personnel to inspect the equipment.

CRY2624M Applications

The CRY2624M is designed for continuous acoustic monitoring in petrochemical, natural gas, chemical, coal chemical processing, and power facilities. Its acoustic imaging system detects and locates gas and vacuum leaks from a distance, while partial discharge monitoring helps identify and classify partial discharge activity in high-voltage equipment. The device can be used to monitor pipelines, valves, flanges, compressors, and other critical assets, as well as electrical equipment where partial discharge may indicate developing insulation problems. ATEX and IECEx certification makes the CRY2624M suitable for fixed installation in hazardous areas.
