FDL-7 [NH3] Laser Ammonia Leak Detector
The FDL-7 [NH3] is the world’s first remote detector designed specifically for ammonia. Simply point the laser towards the area you like to inspect and the instrument shows the concentration in parts per million / meter (ppm*m). An acoustical and optical alarm can be set to indicate an exceeded threshold. The ATEX Zone II certification allows the operation in explosion hazardous areas.

The novel FDL-7 [NH3] is based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS). A highly visible green guide laser shows exactly the measurement position to easily identify the leak. The compact handheld instrument is designed for all leak detection tasks in the ammonia processing industry including production and transport industry. The operation is self-explanatory and particularly suitable for emergency on-site services. Via the ATEX Zone II certification it can be applied in explosion hazardous areas where only intrinsically safe equipment is allowed.
