ALMA
AERIAL LASER METHANE ASSESSMENT

Aircraft laser detectors for operational inspection of extended aboveground and underground gas pipelines for methane leaks. Methane leak detectors for light aircraft and helicopters.
ALMA (Aerial Laser Methane Assessment) is designed for operational diagnostics of extended gas transmission and gas distribution facilities for leaks. Is used for exploration of gas fields. Can be installed on a helicopter or light-engine aircraft.

ALMA advantages
New airborne inspection capabilities
Works where land inspection is impossible
With ALMA, you can thoroughly survey a section of a gas pipeline or other extended gas infrastructure facility in places, access to which from the ground is impossible or restricted.
Faster than
on the ground
ALMA diagnostics is carries out at an average speed of 62 mph (100 km/h) allowing to survey gas pipeline sections with a length of up to 373 miles (600 kilometers) per day.
Cheaper than on the ground
Improved efficiency of remote ALMA inspection compared to conventional land-based gas pipeline diagnostic methods makes this process as economical as possible.
How It Works?
ALMA is a system of airborne surveying of natural gas pipelines and storage facilities. The detector operation principle is based on diode-laser spectroscopy, which provides high reliability, accuracy and selectivity.

The device is fully automated and can continuously work without an operator, while storing the results in computer memory. The detector includes a GPS system that determines the flight route coordinates and leak points. Upon leak detection, the operator receives a light and sound signal, and the monitor displays a photo and a Google map of the leak site.

The detectors are designed for operation in temperate and cold climates; they comprise an optical unit and an electronics case.
CHOOSE YOUR ALMA
Accurate, fast, compact
The device is portable and can be installed on different helicopters and light airplanes as well as UAVs in only a couple of hours. ALMA G5 measures natural gas concentration from the max. altitude of 492 feet (984 feet with amplifier) with the average speed of 63 mph.

ALMA G5 features
  • Real-time measurements, optical unit and electronic unit, all in one;
  • Insensitive to other gases (water vapors, propane, etc.);
  • Detection distance is increased up to 984 feet (300 meters);
  • Airborne device mounted on helicopters and fixed wing aircrafts;
  • Full automation + full AI operation;
  • Detects faster than conventional method (detection speed: 0.1 sec);
  • Automatic and continuously performs self-check to ensure ability to detect gas;
  • Methane-only sensitivity. No false alarm User-friendly software;
  • Each leak detection is reported with time, gas concentration, GPS coordinates and 4K image.
Time-tested quality
Reliable and low-maintenance remote methane detectors. Designed to work in temperate and cold climates.

ALMA G2 features
  • Standalone operation (results are saved to computer memory);
  • High gas selectivity;
  • STC and FAA Certificates of Conformity;
  • Operating voltage: from 19 to 36 V;
  • Measurement accuracy regardless of the type of reflective surface.
